Tuning service for a new TSDZ2 or TSDZ2B motor

Modifications included:

 1. Open Source TSDZ2 OSF firmware v20.1C.4:

• the more intuitive and customised torque sensor feeling and a greater differences between different modes,
• several assistance modes (hybrid, emtb, power, cadence),
• soft start,
• less overrun - faster pedaling response when starting and stopping,
• various setting options for lights and brake lights,
• possibility to display voltage, current, cadence and temperature from the display (temperature reading if temperature sensor is installed),
• greater assistance at a higher cadence.

2. Insertion of thermal protection:

• when the alarm temperature is exceeded, the motor reduces power,
• when the critical temperature is exceeded, the motor cuts off power completely,
• it is possible to check the motor temperature from the display,
• no possibility to use the handle,
• frequent power cuts,
• slow cooling of the motor and thus long interruptions in the use of the motor at full power.

3. Installation of a cooling system (use of aluminum heat receivers and thermopads in appropriate places as well as installation of heat sinks - visible in the photos):

• temperature reduction of - 30-40 deg C on average,
• significant improvement in the rapid and efficient distribution of heat throughout the case and heat sinks.

4. Calibration of the torque sensor. (To clarify this, most kits have improperly calibrated torque sensors from the factory. Unfortunately, it cannot be calibrated from the display. To do this you need to flash the firmware, install the motor in the bike frame. Take readings with and without load. And finally flash the firmware again with the new settings).

Notice: The motor is not included in the offer, it must be sent to the company address. After modification, we will send it back to the address provided by the customer. We only tune brand new motors. The correct operation of the kit is checked before and after modifications.
